Should we get a sub that shows who was banned from what subs and which moderator banned each user, also including the moderators/sub owners reason for ban?

It will show definite trends in moderator overreach/censorship and also users who are actively trashing up subs.

Or use statistics to work out if any moderators are progressively banning an expanding field of users from all speech on the site.

Unless you just want to talk to yourself in 6months?

Sure why not, or just a sub like askvoat, but only the owner has posting privileges so there is no spam from users trying to bury information.

Basically a spreadsheet, username, date banned, reason banned, sub banned in, moderator/user that banned them.

Even gay ass poal has this, its perfect for seeing left-wing behaviour and power-tripping moderators over-reaching and the diminishing userbase due to feelings.

Only bannable offenses should be paedophila content and inciting violence/terrorism.

And that's what Poal's rules state, except AOU interprets inciting violence as whatever he wants.

As do certain and one specific encroaching moderator on here, that are banning for anything and everything leaving dead dubs with only 1-2 concurrent posters in some.

I suggested the same thing in the original stickied thread that introduced the new mods. If anything, it would increase transparency. It has nothing to do with expressing doubt in or skepticism about our mods. I even thought it might be a good idea for the user who is to be banned to be allowed to make an appeal in their ban thread for why they shouldn't. I'm thinking more along the lines of a Socratic trial here - not a democratic vote, but a chance for the banned person to simply state their side of things so that the userbase here gets both perspectives.

Maybe that's too much work for only two mods though. I dunno. It might defeat the utility of having mods to begin with, which is supposed to lower the amount of work for admin.

Banned is banned, I just want to illustrate who is actually banning alot of our users.

We have two site moderators and I'm not talking about them, I am talking about sub moderators. One user can simply apply to be sub moderator of multiple subs and ban users from most of the entire site at a moment's notice.

Its not a potential problem, it's already happening.

As far as I know, you can only own 10 subs, but moderate an infinite number and ban a user from a braod reach of subs that are moderated by them.

I'm definitely in support of a sub for tracking ban behavior.

Desperately needed IMO.

Are users going to go to every sub to see who is banned there?

There should be a sub/log that encompasses all banned users and who banned from what sub, with the reason, legitimate or otherwise.

You should ping @system, but I know it's on his plate to show banned users. The only user that I know has been banned/suspended in the last week is Matashizen who was a spammer. He posted a "buy crypto from my site." bullshit. No others users.

I unbanned everyone from 14words and the Poal subverse was transferred by Lord_Nougat. That's about all that was done in the last week.
