It was a hoax.

I haven't looked into it in years but when I did I was flabbergasted at how the official narrative didn't hold up. (And that's why you don't hear anything about it anymore.) One thing I remember is that no death certificates were ever issued. Then there was the video of that crisis actor dad laughing before he got into character and gave a weeping speech — IIRC his name was "Robbie". There were also the photos of one of the boy victims having been killed in three different mass shooting incidents around the world.
