NATO bases are a sign of provocation, they are also a deterrent against Russian aggression.

NATO bases have forced Russias hand, likewise Russia attacked central Asian and Crimean nations only a few years ago, thus necessitating the need for NATO membership in Ukraine.

Both sides in this war are donkeys.

It's bullshit on both sides. Russia was never really threatened by nato and it's a ridiculous excuse for the war. The west was never really threatened by Russia either and it was not necessary to push for Ukraine nato membership. "They" control both sides, "they" want this to go on, while people who speak the same language, have the same faith, have the same traditions and come from same ethnicity murder each other.
