Been there. Got seated beside a weird guy whose big thing in life was being a "diabled vet." He admitted he wasn't actually disabled in service (motorbike accident after he left) but he was a nice guy and I kinda felt like it was important to him so I didn't call him on it. He was going to some family thing and got off halfway, second hour and a half I was busy watching the roadsigns to make sure I didn't miss my stop.
