Does any body have an actual good theory on what went on that day? The ones I have heard contain a lot of conjecture and are all discombobulated.

The No Agenda show has probably the best take available. It was a Saudi arms deal that went bed. Saudi royalty was in the building that day and hurriedly rushed out by their security detail. The perps raged and lit the crowd up instead.

I like the idea, but it still makes zero sense. You didn't get to kill the target you intended, so you shift to a crowd of people nearly half a mile away? I think the shooting was always planned, but the desired outcome wasn't achieved, whatever it was. Clearly, there was a massive amount of money paid to media to keep the investigations and calls for searches to a minimum.

The best I've heard is that there were multiple shooters (as usual). Possibly from a helicopter as there was odd activity in the sky that night. I really don't have a clear answer. In fact, I can't say I aware of the security guard until now.

No way will I remember the name of it, but a friend of mine was at the event, and she came across a new documentary on that night. Interestingly, there's LE chest cam video of police entering the room and there's not a single pane of glass broken. This video was only released through lawsuits long after, which means the sheriff and our government hid this fact. Another interesting thing was the many, many helicopters that kept leaving and entering the area, while turning off or disguising their call sign whatever transponders. Cell phone video corroborates many people saying they heard shots coming from helicopters. Lastly, literally hundreds of calls came into 911 that night with claims of active shooters here, there, and everywhere, which could only be a coorinated effort to confuse and dilute the response.

I saw the LV Sheriff give a live statement about 2 weeks after the shooting. He came out and stated that there were 3 women in the room DURING the shooting. He did not elaborate. Took no questions. And walked back inside. The press NEVER followed up and you cant find anything regarding this online now.
