On the Price of Insulin

submitted by TheBebot to whatever 3 yearsApr 1, 2022 10:59:48 ago (+15/-0)     (whatever)

The media has been kvetching about the price of insulin, and how Republicans are against price controls for a while now, and I guess it's time to give a real (schizo) opinion on the subject.

For those who are unaware, insulin is used to treat diabetes, which is an illness broken down into two types: Type 1 and Type 2 (scientists are not known for their naming skills). Type 1 diabetes occurs when someone has a genetic condition or other abnormality causing them to produce less insulin than would otherwise be necessary. It's a condition that commonly develops in childhood, regardless of the patient's actions. Type 2 diabetes occurs when someone produces so much insulin, by eating copious amounts of food and generally being overweight, that their body develops a resistance to it. In other words, Type 1 is genetic while Type 2 comes from being a fat fuck.

What's shocking to me about the subject is that the vast majority of diabetics in the United States, and 8.5% of the total US population, have type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes only occurs in .5% of US adults. In other words, this entire insulin debate is really the product of a nation that's constantly stuffing itself with garbage food. We have reached a truly dystopian point in society, wherein almost a tenth of the population would die without daily injections, simply because of their need to consoom.

Now, while it certainly could be said that Type 2 diabetics are at fault here, I don't think that sort of thinking is useful. You can blame one individual, or even a hundred, but if 25 million people are fucking up this badly then something in society itself must be at fault. I'd personally pin the blame on fast food advertising, mostly because I hate fast food and advertising, but there are a million possible factors.

But now the debate turns from the Huxleyan to the Kafkaesque, as nobody actually gives a shit about what I just said. The entire debate surrounding insulin is about the price. A tenth of our nation is gorging itself to the point of needing constant medical attention just to survive, and the political debate around this issue solely focuses on how much that medical attention should cost.

One major problem is the increase in demand created by healthcare subsidies. We're using tax dollars to inflate a massive healthcare program for some of the least productive people, who on top of everything else, make the worst personal health choices.

As long as the government is guaranteeing payment for their chronic, managed care of type 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders, there's huge incentive for the manufacturers to increase price. Combined with monopolistic competition, it's basically a fucking free for all. And the worst part is, your tax dollars are being applied to this, acting like gasoline thrown on a fire.

Yes. Thank you managed healthcare and goverment subsidized health cares is what is fucking up the price mechanism.

The reason USA insulin is so expensive is because we use synthetic insulin instead of pig insulin. They switched because something like 2% of the population has a reaction to something in pig insulin. Pig insulin is cheap because we're already killing pigs for bacon. We've got shit loads of cheap insulin. Other countries don't use this synthetic insulin, which is why there's is so much cheaper. It does all go back to the kikes in one way or another. Selling outrageously expensive insulin to people they have poisoned with trash foods.

Just to clarify, synthetic insulin is cheap to make. I assume its so expensive because some jew has a monopoly on it. And also healthcare insurance of workers for government and big corporations is driving up the cost.

But I agree that pig insulin is a good solution.

I don't have any references for the cost of synthetic insulin, but I'd say it would have to be several factors more than a byproduct of something we're already producing. Do you have any literature on the subject you could pass along? I'd love to know more.

Im too lazy to dig around right now. But I researched it a little at some point because I wanted to know why the price is so high. They need to create genetically engineered bacteria to make insulin and then grow that bacteria in a controlled environment.

You have to first build a facility with a lot of expensive equipement in it and hire a lot of PhDs. Big pharma already has the infrastructure since they make tons of drugs this way . Once youre up and running you can probably just hire a team of mostly lab techs with BSs to do most of the work, taking care of the bacteria. So I guess its an issue of high upfront cost and expensive subject matter experts and after awhile you are basically printing money.

Compare that to the method where you raise and slaughter a pig for a week’s worth of insulin for one person. Its going to be something like that. But if you are going to kill 10 million pigs a year, what the hell. Use their pancreases. Cow and sheep pancreas will not be as good but will work.

Some people have even asserted that pig insulin is better tolerated by them. Like alot.

So why is synthetic so expensive? Some jew has cornered the market.

You're not wrong.

As additional information, I know someone with type 1.5, which is not producing and resistance from something other than being a fatfuck because this person is within a proper weight range. I would be confident to say this is rare.

Having decent insurance and a good job prevents this illness from being a massive financial burden and I don't think price is a big issue for them. The real problem is the constant awareness of sugar levels:i.e. repeatedly jabbing oneself.

Jews are responsible for pushing convenience on the American lifestyle so women can work and men can play vidya and watch tv or this wouldn't be a fucking problem.

Working hard isn’t bad. Its who you work for and what you do. Too much convenience is bad. Too much comfort is bad. Too much pleasure seeking behaviors are bad.

I pin the food on the Pharma-Agro industry. They have told us for generations about the "food pyramid" Oddly enough the things that we're suppose to eat them most of, grains and starches, are the easiest to commoditize, have the best shelf life, and are in virtually every processed food. It just so happens that those are the very things that cause type 2 diabetes. It's a win-win scenario for them.

If the gov fixes the price will it reduce supply?

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3 yearsApr 1, 2022 21:59:51 ago (+0/-0)

Thank you for making this post. I have a lot of compassion for whites who have ended up in this predicament. If this was a farm and all the livestock were sick you would ask who was running the shit show. We have to encourage personal responsibility but also get the poison off the shelves. This is not okay. These genes got us through the ice age and the neolithic and iron age and the middle ages and all that shit. Times when food was scarce. Fatties were built to survive those periods. (We may see more of it soon) We can understand the problem without indulging all this “healthy at any weight” shit.

Create issue. Show issue on nationally controlled media.

Cause issue to have only two (false)sides.

Allow vigorous debate within this incredibly narrow view.

Set one side to be the winner.

Do something else and don't let it get into the media, censor and destroy all who try.

????(jews)

Profit!

You cant blame advertising. As much as they want it to be mind control self determination is a thing people have. Should they choose to go whichever way the wind blows that is their fault.
Yes there can be millions of fuckups but I would agree society is to blame for a nation of fat fucks. This society is practically built to attack and prevent good health.
