Not my choice, just what's going to happen. Performance cars will go electric first because they are expensive and inefficient. Easy way to boost the Corporate Average Fuel Economy rating.

Performance cars are the last you want electric. The batteries will flatten in no time when the driver is calling for max power most of the time.

That's cruel to Subaru, but yes. But also fast as fuck. Subaru's expertise with computer controlled all wheel drive will give them an advantage programming a car with a motor on each wheel. I hate electric cars in general, but for performance cars it just makes sense. Next gen sports cars will be like driving high speed Go-Karts or playing a video game. Tire manufacturers will need to keep up. 14" wide tires would be great but they suck for rolling resistance and thus fuel economy.
