This forces oil producers to continue to utilize the railroad which is significantly slower and more costly: and a huge environmental hit compared to a pipeline. Pipeline companies have something like $ bilion already spent on the pipe and materials, they sue the US Government for $15 billion.

Next: Biden cancels all federal oil and gas leases. Gets sued for that and a federal court reinstates the one which were in process.

Prices go up.

Biden asks the Saudis to drill more. They literally won't talk to him but say "fuck off" through the grapevine.
Biden asks the Russians to drill more. They also say "fuck off".

Biden blames high gasoline prices on the Saudis and then the Russians. When war breaks out, drops the Saudis and blames Putin.

Now we have a total reversal and oil and gas leases will be back on track and opened up for bidding again.
