Musk buying Twitter really isn't helpful and only works to slow Gab's growth. Musk wants to make people use their real names on Twitter. Bankers and troons can just go make another twit clone echo chamber somewhere else and DDoS everybody else like they already have been.

I still think it is bad, but he wants to confirm you are human, not use real names (my guess). So yes, twitter might know who you are, just like telegram knows who you are.

The business models for large companies (twitter, Facebook, wikipedia, reddit, digg, etc) is to offer a great product which users flock to, then once it is a major part of society you use it to create social change.

Musk is simply skipping that first part.
