Elon Musk gets told by Twitter to remove a post or else. He removes post, buys company and removes people who removed his post. What if all of this is just him spending "fuck you" money and he knows Twitter is dead and doesn't care?

Seriously, can you imagine having 1 billion dollars. A thousand million dollars. He could buy a 100 million dollar house, then buy 100 cars each costing a million dollars each and all of this on 100,000 acres of private land with 100 million dollars with his own private airport and two 100 million dollar planes and still have 500 million dollars left over.

If he took his remaining 500 million and burned 10,000/day in his fireplace, it would take 140 years to burn the rest of that money. His great grandchildren would still be burning 10,000/day.

Elon Musk is worth 264.6 billion.

I feel like all this is an inverted joke on conservatives.
Not only has he not bought it yet, but for the last month he has owned a smaller share then BlackRock while the world calls him the largest share holder.

Then on top of that, the hype is covering the fact that it’s not even a profitable company, yet he’s paying 43 billion for it.

Then after all that, he won’t do a single fucking thing conservatives are praising him for and will double the tranny and registered sex offender quota on the payroll in under a year.

It's a good reminder that if a "news story" elecits an an emotional response it's probably a good idea to just ignore it for a week, or even better examine what narrative is the logical outcome of a mass emotional response to that end. We're easier to control when we're angry, scared, or anxious. Not a bad thing to keep in mind.

It appears that the Saudis, seeing that he was planning to take it to tender and that they would lose their investment (and any influence), decided to join forces with him and between them they had enough influence to take it private. We'll see exactly what this means in the future. Meanwhile I won't be creating a new twitter account unless the platform actually gets better.

Musk has seemed to be thinking 3 steps ahead on all of his earlier moves. I'm not sure what his endgame is here as he could have built a better Twitter competitor from scratch for a fraction of that money.
