It may be irresistable to people with certain genes. Humans have not had a long enough time to evolve to handle unlimited availability of concentrated carbs. We evolved to survive famines by consuming as much carbs as possible when they were available.

You also have to consider that food is also an addictive substance. If you don't eat, you die. People have addictions and they need to find a better way to control their addiction. No excuses. Sugar (carbohydrates) can be off set with a higher fat diet. I have no empathy as I have received none.
Sincerely, an alcoholic 8 years dry.

How we decide to deal with fat people/alcoholics/gambling addicts/druggies is one thing. If you subsidize them with money or sympathy or give their behavior acceptance, you will may help people wth those traits to thrive at the expense of people who are more efficient. There is a trade off however, because no one is flawless and people dont’ want to belong to a group that banished their kid for being overweight.

But make no mistake about it, there is no such thing as free will. Your behaviors are informed by your genetics and your environment. Thats it. Being fat is genetic. We evolved to survive famines not to stay thin. If a famine hit today, the fatties would win over the skinnies.

There is low alcoholism in east asians. They carry a gene (asian flushing) that makes them feel sick when they drink. Blue eyed people are the most predisposed to alcoholism. They have literally treated alcoholism with melanotan.

Everyone knows don’t do heroin. Because everybody is highly susceptible to it. If everyone did heroin for a thousand years, some people would become immune to the addiction. But just because you licked booze or sugar or cigarettes, you shouldn’t feel confident about being able to quit heroin. Free will is an illusion.

Its smarter to understand what is going on with fat people genetically and hormonally and to remove the concentrated carbohydrates in the fodder we market to the masses than to persecute fatties who are basically being presented with options they can’t resist. Its an inherent inefficiency that cause social problems. If you own livestock you wouldn’t feed them donuts.

Asian flushing gene has a frequency of 40% in east asia. Heterozygous frequency will be 24% and homozygous frequency is 16%, resulting in higher levels of acetaldehyde after drinking and reactions similar to antabuse. (Harada et al ‘82)
Several studies demonstrating significantly lower levels of alcohol use and alcoholism in Asians with ALDH22 alleles support this idea. For example, people homozygous for the ALDH22 allele drink very little alcohol (Takeshita et al. 1994) and are not found among alcoholics (Thomasson et al. 1991; Chao et al. 1994). Asians who are heterozygous drink significantly less and are much less likely to be alcoholic than Asians homozygous for the functional ALDH21 allele4 (Chao et al. 1994; Takeshita et al. 1994; Thomasson et al. 1991). The heterozygous genotype does not provide full protection from alcoholism, however, because 12 to 19 percent of Chinese and Japanese alcoholics have one ALDH22 allele (Chao et al. 1994; Thomasson et al. 1991).

Ive known quite a few east asians and the ones that turn hot pink after 2 beers aren’t heavy drinkers.
You do not have asian flushing gene. Its very rare in whites. People with 2 copies of this gene are absent among alcoholics. People with one copy are 24% of the population of east asia but only 15% of alcoholics. That is what we call in science, A SIGNAL.
But you’re anecdotal thing is good too.

I have and so have your asians friends and they all know about it so why don’t you ask them?

Or search “ asian flush before after alcohol”

I get your point but it boils down to "am I my brother's keeper?". I do not feel a debt of responsibility for the action of others. That being said, I personally do not believe in denying someone their free will (I would disagree with you on this point). If someone wants to do heroin, go for it. However, I do not feel any obligation financial or otherwise to clean up the mess after. This is the far end of personal freedoms but I also understand it would hurt society if everyone went around doing heroin. A strong societal moral compass would be the only thing keeping things running and this is not enough of a support system for many - including a degenerate left that would abuse the good nature of others because it is freely given.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 18:09:03 ago (+0/-0)

The question is not “am I my brother’s keeper?” but “to what extent am I my brother’s keeper?”. White people form societies with higher levels of altruism for our neighbors which we offset with more restrictions on behavior. So if we are to care for the obese, maybe we have to make McDonalds illegal.

I appreciate your inputs PWH, it reminds me of friendlier groups I previously occupied. The threats about us were known, but the moral and keepings of the group was positive while being serious. It's good to see that here.

tl;dr

Food is not addictive. Food is necessary.

If you stop consuming something addictive you won't die.
If food was addictive fasting would create physical discomfort in everyone, but it doesn't.

[ - ] Autismo 1 point 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 17:12:01 ago (+1/-0)

This also implies that we are to go through feast and fast cycles. That's why I will binge keto/paleo over 3-4 days then water fast for 5-7 days. Works well for losing weight/fat.

[ - ] Belrick 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 17:32:34 ago (+0/-0)

Fuk that
Omad has the same effect

[ - ] Autismo 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 17:47:44 ago (+0/-0)

No, it doesn't not. OMAD does not lead to lower levels of Ghrelin. Fasts of 2.5 days or more lead to vastly higher levels of Ghrelin, growth hormone, autophagy, reduction in inflammation, and neurogenesis.

OMAD leads to constantly higher levels of hunger vs extended fasts greater than 2.5-3 days. Once one gets past 3 days the fasts become easier and hunger dissipates completely. I just did a 14 day fast 2 weeks ago. Works great.

Read Dr. Fung MD's Complete Guide to Fasting for more info.

[ - ] Belrick 1 point 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 19:30:12 ago (+1/-0)

Im not disagreing with your clearly superior knowledge.

But Omad changed my life in Avery good way and I now like the daily routine

[ - ] Autismo 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 19:46:52 ago (+0/-0)

If you ever need to lose fat/weight - fasting 3 days and more with sodium, potassium, magnesium, multivitamin, and b complex is the way to go. Read /r/fasting for info. Once you get past 3 days it's easy mode for fat burning.

[ - ] Belrick 0 points 3 yearsApr 27, 2022 16:50:53 ago (+0/-0)

Cheers
I started losing weight just by keto plus skipping breakfast. 2mad

Life got so much better.

Long fasts will probably be forced upon me when society collapses

[ - ] Splooge 7 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 10:16:04 ago (+7/-0)

People also go through all sorts of mental gymnastics to pretend that addictive drugs aren't a very addictive drug.

Weed is a good example of this. How many times have we all seen the "lol w/e bro its just a plant i can quit anytiem i want lmao" cope?

[ - ] WhiteCollarCriminal 3 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 10:34:19 ago (+3/-0)

What, you can't? I can take it or leave it. I just happen to take it more than leave it! 😂 Weed is a weak mans drug from the point of addiction. I've smoked pot maybe three times in my life and I did indeed inhale. Then I quit my addiction to the demon leaf like it was no thing! Now cocaine, that's a different can of worms. Attorneys have a bad rep for being coke hounds, especially in the 80's and 90's. But if there were any truth to that 🙄 I'd have seen it! Of course I was too coked up in the 80's to notice much of anything! 😂😂😂😂😂

[ - ] WhiteCollarCriminal 0 points 3 yearsApr 27, 2022 11:41:32 ago (+0/-0)

Can't argue with that. Of the times I smoked pot I just didn't care for it. Made me go to sleep. I tend to like things that make me faster than slower. I have a pal who's smoked weed every day for...thirty five years. Holds a responsible job and it doesn't interfere in his life. So what's an addiction?

[ - ] Youdgetfuckedfaggot 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 13:30:25 ago (+0/-0)

I can quit any time I want. 2 or 3 days of poor me my stomach hurts and I'm angry that I'm bored when I would normally be complacent and high isn't addiction. But I say that as a strong willed individual that can quit sugar or weed if I want to. The problem, really, is that the world is filled with weak faggots. And I say this as a weak faggot who has the bare minimum amount of self control to not be a fat fuck. I'm easily top 5% of the population when it comes to fitness, but consider myself weak.

I just broke a sugar addiction. Chick at a Ted talk said she kept a tub of coconut oil around, and when she felt the pull of sugar desire, she would take a spoonful of oil and eat it. If one didn't fully work, she'd do a second. She said the craving went away and she never needed a third scoop.

I tryed it, it works -I also drink water with it. Between that and will power, I'm 90 percent off the shit.

I keep fruits around, like an apple. Fruits have some sugar, but they also come with the antidote, so to to speak. Once you get off sugar fruits will also taste a lot better.

[ - ] YamaMaya 2 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 11:38:50 ago (+2/-0)

If you couldn't get addicted to sugar we wouldn't have 600lb wastes of space, or all the smaller fat wastes of space.

I grew up drinking a lot of soda and now I have to actively and conciously avoid it. Sometimes I have extreme urges to eat alot of sugars and salty foods aka fast food slop. I know its slop, I know its bad and yet my body screams "GIMME GIMME I WANT IT."

Not everyone is mentally capable of stopping themselves.

[ - ] zezima 1 point 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 16:42:11 ago (+1/-0)

Sometimes i CRAVE bad food so fkn bad and my method is basically eat it until i get sick of it that usually works for a long period of time. Been eating a lot of gummy bears lately..

You are probably allergic to pumpkin and may have allergies to members of Cucurbitaceae, maybe other fruits and vegetables as well.

https://healthfully.com/allergy-to-pumpkin-8165135.html

It seems there is an allergen called profilin which may be responsible. And you may have been sensitized by exposure to pollens from grasses or trees. You probably get some sort of hayfever too.

https://files.catbox.moe/66avih.jpeg

Pumkin may be the culprit. It sounds like a severe reaction so do a little research into this allergen cluster to avoid another “surprise” .

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 11:11:00 ago (+0/-0)

True but i think anti-sugar people also underestimate how much sugar we used to eat

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 19:12:09 ago (+0/-0)

What time period are you talking about?

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 1 point 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 19:44:00 ago (+1/-0)

any. fruit is pretty much all chimps eat. fruit and honey has a lot of sugar. if you're eating only processed foods then of course it's too much sugar, but people who try to eat clean are often not eating enough sugar. that's why they need a 'cheat day', because their blood sugar levels are dropping.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 21:08:23 ago (+0/-0)

Good point about honey, but I don’t think that was on the menu everyday for hunter gatherers.

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 0 points 3 yearsApr 26, 2022 21:11:22 ago (+0/-0)

not everyday but when they found honey or fruit, fruit obviously being way more common, they would gorge on it. so if you want to theorise on what's most realistic, probably no sugar for a couple of days, then a shitload of it, and repeat, at least while we were nomads.

[ - ] Wahaha [op] 0 points 3 yearsApr 27, 2022 06:20:36 ago (+0/-0)

I'm just anti processed sugar. Stuff that naturally contains sugar is safe to eat in moderation.
