Glad to hear it sounds like the dog will survive, but it is now time to begin hunting the perp, and to give him the justice deserved.

Fuck the courts on this, as in most states a dog is just property. This fucker needs to vanish the perp from existence.

He needs to call in some favors from his ex SF buddies. Get some trail cams, hide them well and look for the shooter. Then make appropriate plans.
