I think we're experiencing "hypernormalization", definition inside.

submitted by we_kill_creativity to whatever 2.9 yearsMay 24, 2022 18:29:42 ago (+31/-0)     (whatever)

"The word hypernormalization was coined by Alexei Yurchak, a professor of anthropology who was born in Leningrad and later went to teach in the United States. He introduced the word in his book Everything Was Forever, Until It Was No More: The Last Soviet Generation (2006), which describes paradoxes of Soviet life during the 1970s and 1980s.[3][4] He says that everyone in the Soviet Union knew the system was failing, but no one could imagine an alternative to the status quo, and politicians and citizens alike were resigned to maintaining the pretense of a functioning society.[5] Over time, this delusion became a self-fulfilling prophecy and the fakeness was accepted by everyone as real, an effect that Yurchak termed hypernormalisation."

Or, as we call it "Clown World".

this is a real phenomenon. i was born in a communist country just 90 miles off the u.s

and to this day there are people that supports the system because they dont know or cant imagine to function or live without it

it has been more than 60 years of propaganda and despite people having families living outside the country (in both europe and the u.s) and seen their prosperity. they are used to live in the system.

that's why there hasnt been a serious rebellion in decades also the propaganda and security services make sure that this wont happen because they are armed to the teeth and these intel agencies and the army, unlike the populace are well fed enough to think of rebel

something pretty similar is happening in western countries. we saw that during the virus scared, most hospitals, doctors and members of the intelligentsia were bought off

I've seen some of the undercover photos of cuban hospitals and dentist clinics. Are they as bad as they look? If I lived somewhere like that I think I'd rely on folk remedies.

Then again western hospitals are pretty bad these days.

yeah its horrible sanitation is poor, you have to bring your own gaze and other items for surgery (most cant bring shit because they dont have anything either ad those that can bring up stuff have family that can help from abroad)

there are no antibiotics and other medicines either. my dad's relatives are always asking for money and other stuff even though they still defend the system.

on the other hand, the cuban elite from the communist party has the best care that money can buy and oh if you are tourist and can pay up then you are covered too

the island is a disaster and that's what communism always brings to a nation

shortages, scarcity and mass poverty

The amount of people who watched sicko and thinks those were normal hospital conditions still disturbs me.

Except in the case of the US, it's the people that are well armed...and now they're making things so we aren't so well fed. Not a great move if you ask me.

What's not being reported is the huge numbers of military personnel that are leaving the US military as fast as they can. I'm not sure how "they" think they will enforce the fake "clown world" with trannies and lesbians on the very fighting men that have/are leaving the military and those others who never joined in the first place. The actual US military is essentially an ad hoc militia now that's currently not in the "official military".

The only thing that's missing, in my opinion, is the majority of people realizing just how fake what we think is real, is. And I think that is starting to change.

they all well armed annnd.... last two years convid VAXX something something and people did NOTHING

SEE WHAT TRUDEAU DID DURING THE PROTESTS? HE BROUGHT UP PEOPLE FROM OTHER PROVINCES AND EVEN FROM ABROAD

YOU ARE NAIVE...

YOU ARE NAIVE...

Sigh....no, not really, I'm not. The reason none of the well armed people "did something" with guns about covid shit is because those same people pretty much weren't touched by the mandates. Our culture is such that, once people figured out it was a nothing burger they just stopped going along with it. No guns needed. I feel really bad for people in cities...which is apparently most of the people here.

Hey bud...got a question for you, what does "doing something" look like in your mind? I'm just curious. I already know how you'll answer which is why I can't wait to respond with what I will.

Well armed yet refuse to stand up for themselves

No, this is not satire. Official government announcement.

And the reason most are going to be overwhelmed by the chaos currently unfolding all around us.

This false reality is starting to break down I think.

Exactly....

[ - ] Broc_Liath 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 25, 2022 11:20:42 ago (+1/-0)

Interesting. I think the real reason the wall fell is because the soviets started allowing western visitors, and the commies could see how much better off they were.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity [op] 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 25, 2022 17:25:45 ago (+1/-0)

I think the fall of the Berlin Wall i a pretty complicated subject in general, this post nor the linked documentary are really about that event at all. The documentary is almost 3 hours long and is more about how social paradigms can live past their natural expiration date and yet society keeps going on that way because they don't know anyway else to do business and then things get really weird. You should watch it sometine.

[ - ] Broc_Liath 0 points 2.9 yearsMay 26, 2022 03:55:06 ago (+0/-0)

I've watched bits of it. It's amazing how you can make a documentary about urban decay without once mentioning blacks, or banker takeovers without mentioning jews.

Kinda seems like they're dodging the problem and just saying "it's capitalism."

I'll see if it improves.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity [op] 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 26, 2022 04:07:37 ago (+1/-0)

Right, they didn't outright name them...but they did if you can read between the lines in the first half hour. Talking about that on a platform that's so public requires a lot of nuance. I'm pretty sure those with eyes to see could see what he was saying. Would be better if he could just name the problem, but then again there's a reason SBBH tactics never work...

Alexei Yurchak, professor of anthropology was trained in the irrational social sciences that foundations have spent a hundred years trying to rationalize.

People in the USSR were just going about their lives in a system they were born into and didn't know anything about anything.

They didn't have the internet. They didn't have the TV reruns and old movies in their faces depicting a much better life, and a whole lot of old farts who remember it and know damned well there's no reason not to remove the organized fuckers as enemy combatants who've worked so hard to take it away.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity [op] 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 24, 2022 20:31:31 ago (+1/-0)

Ok, but I'm not gathering your overall point there?

[ - ] yesiknow 3 points 2.9 yearsMay 24, 2022 20:53:31 ago (+3/-0)

That we are not being hypernormalized, just the opposite.

When the bernays abuse method made it into pretty much all mainstream media they thought everything they put on TV and in movies was affecting the "collective unconscious". There isn't any such thing. They got some dummies to agree that 3 out of 5 dentists recommended a toothpaste. The rest just bought what their kids didn't hate. They only fooled themselves.

Nobody voted for anyone named Bush. They voted against the democrats. They" don't control "normal" they think they do.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity [op] 2 points 2.9 yearsMay 24, 2022 21:41:52 ago (+2/-0)

So you're saying that they don't control shit as much as it seems? I agree...

we are on a "timeline to the future"

I've a strong feeling something of the like has been said many times before.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity [op] 1 point 2.9 yearsMay 25, 2022 05:51:01 ago (+1/-0)

when they just kill anyone who tries to change it.

Except that it relies upon everyone continuing to "go along with it", "it" being the fake world, or clown world, but people are starting to break with the programming. It will not seem that way if you base your view of reality on what the media/ social media tells you people are doing...which is the entire point. That is just part of the programming.

The fake reality can only become more and more fake as more and more people stop going along with it. Their only response is to double and triple down on the "fakeness" which will only result in more people seeing the fakeness...sure, some percentage of people will just continue to go along with it as it falls off the cliff, but for those of us who don't, now is our opportunity to unhitch from the fake reality and make our own path.

He's speaking in kamala Harris terms you make a circle around the question you were posed and by the time you get back to the question they are so overwhelmed by your idiocy they just nod their head in agreement like Ralphy from a Christmas Story.

They didn't have the TV reruns and old movies in their faces depicting a much better life

That's an interesting point, they kinda did. They didn't have old movies or TV shows depicting a better life, but they did have constant soviet glamour products being advertised (that they couldn't access) and nomenklatura lifestyles being rubbed in their faces (that they weren't connected enough to obtain).

There's a decent video on it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgT-wR29aIU

13 mins long, I'd recommend at least the first five.

and a whole lot of old farts who remember it and know damned well there's no reason not to remove the organized fuckers as enemy combatants who've worked so hard to take it away.

Yeah, there's two different tactics here. The US tries to make the old farts too comfortable and invested in the system to want to do anything. In the USSR they made the cost of even talking obliquely about someone doing something to be a death sentence, so after a few years anyone brave or foolhardy enough stopped doing so.
