The last five state premiers of NSW have been sacked on corruption charges and white-collar crime with zero punishment. No prison time, no reduction in pensions, not required to pay back bribes, some don't even lose their parliamentary privileges, a few didn't even leave their jobs, they chose to resign because it was exhausting having to defend their crimes every 6 months and answer bought "journalists".
Justice and punishment is only for the poor in this country. If you have enough money you theoretically mandate gene-therapy experimentation on the working classes.
A recent report speculates Australia is in the bottom five countries globally for corruption since 2020.
