Tonight EU-CO agreed a sixth package of sanctions. It will allow a ban on oil imports from Russia.
The sanctions will immediately impact 75% of Russian oil imports. And by the end of the year, 90% of the Russian oil imported in Europe will be banned.
This sanctions package includes other hard-hitting measures:
de-Swifting the largest Russian bank Sberbank,
banning 3 more Russian state-owned broadcasters,
and sanctioning individuals responsible for war crimes in Ukraine

They sanction a country who clearly doesn't mind being a lone wolf in the world. They claim it will cripple Russia, yet you and I are the ones paying for it. We're the ones suffering, not Russia
They continue to raise the bar. Russia is unphased. Putin said a while ago they don't mind being totally isolated. They want it
Yet our leaders continue. They fly around the world in their private jets to lecture us about being responsible as they carelessly destroy everything our civilizations have worked for
I can see this war escalating after all the "if you don't do what I say, we're not friends anymore!" runs through. After we've totally embargoed and isolated Russia and they chug along fine as always meanwhile we live more and more in a third world society
And if you've been paying attention to how things in politics have been going the last decade, even someone like us plebs can see this feedback loop a mile away. No doubt Russia knew, no doubt they wanted it to happen. And our leaders are playing right into it
