Parmenides of Elea Demonstrated the Earth was a Sphere in 500 BC.

Greek Mathematician Eratosthenes Calculated the Earth's Circumference in 250 BC.

This was an eye-opener for me also. I always tell the npcs who oppose my views to at least read eric dubay before judging. And what a surprise they are all too lazy/ignorant/disinterested to even bother past the first paragraph.
