By the way, if biofuels were better, we'd be driving E85 powered cars.

I enjoy that E85 vehicles need at leat one tank of normal gas every 2k miles to clean out the crystallization.

Doesn't work for shit, even on things designed specifically for it.

Also notice that they mention older cars won't be able to handle it. Thus, they push to destroy more older, more mechanically friendly, and more emp/hack proof vehicles, trying to get us on board with the shittier, weaker, more controlled newer cars.

Its about controlling all energy. Oil, gas, coal, etc is too egalitarian. They need to concentrate all energy in a small number of hands.

The hurdles to replace the entire fleet of internal combustion engine-vehicles currently on the road with electric are nigh impossible to overcome, meaning many will be left holding the bag when the need for a new vehicle arises.

E15 vs E10 costs more because it has lower energy content, meaning you'll end up paying MORE per mile. (less travel distance for same amount of fuel) This will make the situation worse. We need stickers on E85 pumps to warn consumers of the engine damage and increased cost.

Use diesel and nat gas to grow corn. Energy output 1/10 of energy input. Use corn to make fuel. It's pulling fuel from the ground with extra steps. The sun barely contributes.
