Ohh no, who'll pay our taxes. If all the white people move out then we'll just have jews and niggers left. Save us with your money white man. Our overall quality of life will decrease, so decrease your quality of life for us.

I'm tired of sacrificing myself for shitheads.

Anti-WFH is such a boomer thing. I don't understand it at all.

Elon needs to learn (buy some folks who know) how to manage remote workers.

Some who work from home are more productive, some are less, some are impossible to quantify.

Regardless, IT'S ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT, STUPID.

If you move 1 million workers into and out of a city for employment, that is 200 million pounds of meat and 1.6 million tons of metal that is moved. THAT IS NOT FREE ENERGY. If your workers are half as efficient, but still have a planet with a functioning ecosystem...

Remote work will destroy about half of those jobs, too. Can't wait until the office worker tards find out the hard way.

When you rent office space it's not a short term lease. So, you have an office you're on the hook for sitting unused. Plus, work from home being the norm would kill the commercial real estate business which most major players have invested heavily in. With no commercial real estate in play, they have to do something with all of those buildings. The most reasonable would be converting to apartments which floods the rental market and would drive down rent prices. This is undesirable because a lot of these same people have hoarded properties to artificially drive up rent prices. If they own everything, they can charge what they want. There's more to it though. Our economy depends on forcing us to spend money, if we're not buying gas, paying car maintenance and insurance, buying takeout because who can cook after that commute.. it hurts the economy. That's why Biden, etc is even pushing for a "return to the office". It benefits everyone but the actual workers.

Commercial office buildings are a lot harder to convert to residential than most people think. It requires a full tear-down more or less, which is not cheap at all. Residential and office buildings have entirely different floor plans and converting the building to residential requires installation of all kinds of utilities and plumbing, reconfiguring walls, stairs, access points, etc. This is particularly true with newer, glass-wall skyscrapers.

There are a ton of good uses for former office buildings (cultural and production spaces in particular) that do not cost anything in capital, but you never hear people suggest that, only residential conversion, which takes years and is not at all cheap.

In practice, they want to squat in these empty buildings, which is what will happen as things decline. IDGAF.

All part of the plan. Trust the plan goy. You will be worthless, and happy.

The plan is failing. I know you imagine yourself as counter to the narrative but in truth people who say what you are saying are not terrified of people being all powerful and in charge, rather you are terrified of realizing that no one is in control.

Glad to see the work at home faggots getting the fantasy destroyed. All of you will be unemployed soon
