It's already happening in states with open carry laws. It's legal to carry, but theyve decided that if any individual complains, the person legally using their rights is now causing a disturbance. The DA will make the argument in front of a jury and you might lose.

Using laws on the book to detain a person for being a threat to themselves or others would work, but that would disrupt the narrative that guns are the problem and expose the gun-grabbers in the media and government for what they are.
