I tried it too, no dice here either. It's possible that the algorithm suggests these things to targeted individuals that match a number of criteria.

It's possible, but it's also possible that people lie for clicks and clout. Not saying lord_nougat made it up, but rather whoever originally posted it. You have to admit it's a little hamfisted, even for google.

The one comment under that post said they got the same result. I did not verify because it is Tuesday, and I'm a huge faggot on tuesdays. Also I fucking hate google and would rather not use it if that can be helped.

Some people didn't. But a lot of people did. If you tried it yesterday with vanilla Chrome, no plug-ins, and were in the U.S., it worked exactly as shown in the picture for most people. I asked multiple people to try it. Every one of the people I spoke to in person got the same result. Jewgle must've caught wind of it though and changed it because it no longer asks you "did you mean....."

Anyhow, here are some other examples of other people getting the same result yesterday:

This seems to check out, especially if you read those comment threads. Looks like the algo did it, then they heard about it and realized this looked bad and so they removed it.

Perhaps. It is google, so it just sounded plausible and hey, any reason to hate the google a little more is a good thing, right? Even if it's maybe slightly exaggerated? Gab is fun for fucking around and being trollish, and I could have just fallen for that. And now so can you!
