Can a Deutsche Ziege talk a little about the former DDR part of Germany and how based it is? Immigrants? jew aware? How are the cities/rural parts? I watch videos and notice occasional references but I'd like to hear about it from someone who gets this stuff.
East Germany was pumped full of money from west Germany for many decades, and as thanks the East Germans hate the West Germans and blamed them for all their problems.
Grew up in West Germany. As a kid we occasionally send care packages to East Germany. Met only a few East Germans, and they usually had a very communist mind set, everything should be shared with everyone equally. Never traveled to East Germany myself, but a few acquaintances and co workers have. Their account where the same , that most places hated the West Germans, often with no shame and right to their faces. Been in Canada for 15 years now, and don't have much contact left with Germany.
That makes sense, I mean they grew up with actual real communism being enforced. And communists are a hateful bunch, I actually had a bad interaction with one today.
The impression I had about East Germsny is that more recently that's where you find people who are rebelling against the left the hardest. This is mostly from "on the street" language learning videos where someone makes an offhand comment so not based on much.
I just remembered I did meet an East German once, years ago. She had some jewish boyfriend here she visiting and ended up trying to cheat on him with me lol. I can't believe I forgot about that until now.
