I had covid. It kinda sucked for three days, left me tired for a week, but then I'm 56 and in poor health, so that's expected.

Caught an entirely different flu two year later, was fucking laid out for a week, had to call in sick from work for the first time in 25 years, took me nearly a damn month to fully recover - not covid, just the fucking flu.

I was talking about the 'rona shots with my parents this morning. They're "senior citizens" now, which is what prompted them to get the first two shots. My step-sister works in the healthcare industry and she sees a lot of senior citizens as well. Her patients keep getting "boosters" and then they keep getting covid. She told this to my parents. I also told them there's no point in these boosters. They don't do shit but make people sick. Thankfully they've agreed not to get any more covid shots.

That's way more vaxxed than I thought. It breaks down to around 25% of the population(>5 years old) hasn't been vaxxed. Then, 35% of the population hasn't had two doses. 55% haven't had a third dose.

I got my one and done Johnson & Johnson useless dosage that pretty much didn't do anything after 3 months. I caught covid, it's super sucked. But they can give you medicine now that cuts the suffering in half. I took that aids medicine and within two days I was out jogging. So they can take their shot and stick it up their ass.

Well that's the thing. How many covid vaccines will we need? Apparently the current ones help stop you getting seriously ill from the omicron variants but don't stop you getting infected (as they would with Delta). A vaccine specifically tailored to the Omicron variants is in the pipeline so I guess that'll be a 5th jab coming up (and a 6th and a 7th...). Sorta makes life interesting.
