If you slow it down and watch frame by frame there is a very interesting double flash between 0:03 and 0:04. I'm not an expert but it certainly looks like the detonation of a AP RPG round and what you are seeing is the copper core coming through the other side.

Something is fucked up. There's that bright light there the whole time. Then it seems to expand in one fireball, then the monument blows up. Why is there an explosion so far away from the monument?

Maybe the explosion triggered an EMP that briefly caused a power spike in the light. I considered lightning but lightning would have lit up the whole yard.
