One of the explanations given as to why Genghis Khan was so successful in his military campaigns is that he could have had foreknowledge of the terrain, strategic geographical points, weak-spots etc of the countries he invaded. Jews at this time had already established themselves an international network in which they could communicate with jewish communities internationally and as we know, jews at this time were also scattered all over the world.

So it wouldn't surprise me if it was this jewish international network that fed Genghis Khan important info of the countries he wanted to invade, thus aiding him in his military campaigns.
