I watched several of the videos she posted about the incident. She claims the first server is drunk and provided shitty service. She says that a second server had a bad attitude. The niggers were probably copping a bad attitude by then as well. The bartender stepped up and accomodated them with whatever they were chimping about. But in the end she accused them all of racism.

there's no problem with filming, but PUBLISHING it for wider release is something different. this is especially true if you're on private property like in a businses. it doesn't matter what the current laws and judicial interprepations are, this is something entirely reasonable to enact. there's no reason people should be able to film a private individual anywhere and use it to defame them/draw a mob via the internet.

Actually I don't think it's reasonable to get the consent of everyone you film in public, and it is reasonable to release footage taken in public. This wasn't, though. For that reason I would say you are correct. I would never film inside of a restaurant without permission and then publish it.

people passing by are fine. if the main subject of the video is another person, you should need permission. if you can't get it, you don't get to publish the video. solves the entire problem and nothing of value is lost - this is how the world was twenty years ago before cameraphones and web video.
