True story. Wife is Russian; Anon is American
Anon: Do they celebrate Halloween in Russia?
Her: No, not really. But we once had a Halloween party at my university
Anon: What did you dress up as?
Her: Ku Klux Klan. Are you familiar with this?
Anon: Yes, but not sure you could do that in US ;)

Do they celebrate Halloween in Russia?

Does any country other than America celebrate American holidays?

I'm pretty sure Halloween is celebrated in the UK and maybe a couple other countries.

Edit: I looked it up.
Halloween was a Pagan holiday that got picked up by Christians as early as the 10th century. It didn't become popular in North America until the 19th century. American media proliferated the holiday further into many other countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

Australia and New Zealand don't really celebrate the American holiday. A handful of kids might try to get free lollies every year, but very few houses are decorated or catered for the event. It is a huge stretch to see other countries outside of the USA actively celebrating Halloween.
