Why is this? Because old people can't generally fight and thus fear instability. They are a status quo demographic. It is unsurprising old people least expect civil war in polling on the subject. It is their wishes expressed as their opinions.

So too the wealthy. Got too much to lose. They don't want chaos or anything that threatens their privileges. Revolution or civil war threatens their comfort and their profits.

Of course these groups overlap a lot. Old people are likelier to have money to lose.

Comfort is counterrevolutionary. Remember that.

Young folks don't have the world experience or life experience to temper their thought process. and anymore I find their education level, suspect.

Remember that jews always divide populations on any fault line they can find. Young vs old. Man vs woman. Rich vs poor. Gay vs normal.
