Human bodies are relatively similar, the biggest differences are skin color, torso, and limb size. Faces have an extreme amount of variation.

If I understand how this A.I. works, it's an image classification algorithm being run on reverse. The faces you see are the middle ground of the millions of faces it has been trained on, so they always look fucked up.
Likewise, if you look at the limbs, especially the arms, they tend to start warping past the halfway point.
