While in the Army, I made the rank of corporal within two months. Was being fast-tracked for a higher level in Operation Stargate, which was six massive multibranch military program, that was not declassified, but debunked in 1987, claiming it never existed as anything more than a dozen hippies in a leaky shack in some bumfuck base of which I never had even heared. Then, Mossad and the CIA reopened the program on a smaller scale as Project Stargate. But that’s as maybe.

The salient point is that I read Donald Rumsfeld’s “Plan For the Liberation of the Oil Fields of Iraq, Owing to Regional Instability Due to Invasion By Iran,” at an officer training room at the Patton Library at Fort Knox, even while they painted the tanks in the mortar pool in desert colors for the first time ever, five years before the plan first been attempted, twenty years before it had eventually been achieved, despite Iran never having invaded Iraq, despite to gads of conventional, chemical, and biological weapons we had given both Iraq and Iran, for with which to annihilate each other. The colors they were painting the tanks were absolutely ghastly! Peach or salmon, baby vomit green, and baby poop brown! Or however those colors are arranged with regard to a baby’s emissions. Had always presumed that they were testing colors that never went into use; but it wasn’t until this night that it hit me, hit me like diamond bullet right here, ... right here! It didn’t occur to me until tonight that the tanks, my precious Shermans, were being painted with the colors of some other army, in some strange and alien foreign land; and that the single serving soldiers, like myself, who utilized them somewhere, were disposed of afterwards with a Daisy Cutter, as the generals saw fit to so of them dispose.

I’m a fucking psychic assassin, goddamn it! Where is the fucking back pay that I’m owed for my covert extracurricular activities? Nah! Forget it! I saw The Departed!
