I call it a nigger lily

I don't know what it's actually called, but I bought it from a nigger at a flea market so it's my nigger lily

That's a canna. You should put it in the ground so it can spread via rhizome. You'll have more of them next year.

Some people call them lilies, but they aren't and are rhizomes not bulbs, also the flower looks more like an Iris to me.

Looks like you have a Canna indica or Indian Shot sometimes called African Arrowroot. So you can keep calling it Nigger Lily if you like or switch to something like Fellow Lily or Poo In the Pot flower.
