I sincerely think we're going to start seeing that happen before too much longer, and I'm all for it.

I was just listening to crime reports from the pacific northwest and thinking the same thing. For some reason, I kind of assumed it was already mostly happening, but I guess it's just a skewed perspective from living in a working harbor where things are different than in much of the rest of the commie coast, and not because we're super great people or anything like that... but just that the established criminals still do things the way they've always done things, and other people kind of follow suit. Also there's only the token pantomime of "law enforcement" who "investigate" after the fact. Like that time they ruled that one druggy shithead from down the way's death as a suicide [he shot himself with a shotgun twice in the back].

Bla bla. At any rate, it's the old west again almost... soon with the defunding of the police and district attorneys who just let criminals off willy nilly, it'll become much more pronounced out of necessity. Of course it'll go really underreported for some time, possibly forever, until we remove the fake news and build our own once more, probably much like last time around. History repeats itself in the dumbest ways because people are fucking idiots.
