Problem with Clown World is that self-help doesn’t begin with admitting there is a problem, (that being a Platonic cave-style nightmare house full of manipulative flames & smoke & funhouse mirrors, with the windows painted, and shadows being but false representations of a greater reality).

In Clown World, admitting there is a vast malicious conspiracy behind the false reality, is merely the explanation & excuse for a nightmare that will not only never end, but never be questioned publicly, nor challenged as an unhygienic & unhealthy version of reality.

It is an admission that sanity is as unattainable as truth, justice, or any civilized way.

In 1922 Harcourt published Walter Lippmann's book Public Opinion.

It is analogous to a book explaining why wrestling needs to be fake, and giving instructions on how to get the public to play along.

I'm thinking that universal suffrage was still born. The ruling elite went along with it because they had already made their plans to consolidate ownership of the media and tell the new voters how to vote.

Remove the "almost" and this post becomes truth

Almost?

We passed that point some time ago now, I'm pretty sure.

Maybe that somehow legitimizes it, sort of.

Probably not.
