The monorail slows down and even stops automatically if a rail hasn't switched yet. Although Japan is hardcore af about their trains and monorails being on time.

If you look at the street traffic, the video is sped up quite a bit. Also that was taken with a telephoto lens, so the Z-axis is heavily compressed.

I’ve always been a proud American, but riding trains in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, and even Europe, make our trains feel like steam engine carriages.

California has been talking about building an electric train to Vegas for 40 years. Other countries just do it. The west coast hippy leftists and commies won’t get out of the way. Elon Musk made the Boring machines to go under the hippy leftists and commies.

I kind of hope that we are headed towards 30 or 40 year cold war with Russia and China. Being in a cold war means being prepared for war which means massive infrastructure initiatives (as well as military bullshit). I’m mostly concerned with us building really cool stuff domestically.
