If you have trouble sleeping, headaches or sore throat in the morning, excessive snoring, always tired in the morning and so on, you should read this post.

Trouble sleeping is typically something called sleep apnea. It doesn't just affect fat people that need to lose weight. Being fat can cause and make sleep apnea worse, but you can be thin, healthy or young and still have sleep apnea. If you have a big tongue, misaligned jaw, or that little thing underneath your tongue is to far back, your tongue will end up resting on the back of your throat causing you to stop breathing or reduce breathing with snoring when you are sleeping. A lot of people never notice while they are asleep, but symptoms are snoring, sore throat when you wake up as well as headaches in the morning.

So here's my story... had trouble sleeping after catching the coof (aka common cold) and went to see a sleep doctor. She looks at my tongue, says I have a big tongue and most likely have sleep apnea. They send you home with some equipment for testing your sleep, take some blood, yada yada and tell you that you need a CPAP machine. Here's where it get's interesting...

The so called doctor says that I need to get my equipment from 1 of 2 places that locally carry this stuff. I pick one and eventually (8 months later) get my machine. I get an invoice bill of about $500 and then more and more bills keep coming. I'm thinking, how much could this machine fucking cost and why doesn't my low deductible insurance cover any of this? Then I get an email from the place that sold me the machine saying I should think about getting replacement parts in case something gets old or breaks. I grab all the invoices and decide to go online to see if I can buy replacement parts online. I discover that everything is for sale online, including the fucking machine. The only requirement is that the machine itself requires a prescription, which you can get from your doctor and use to buy online.

The company I picked to send me the equipment overcharged me for everything. I don't mean a few dollars either, stuff that sells for $100, they were selling to me for $400. It would go to my insurance, who would pay $20-$30 of the cost, then I would be billed for the rest. I could have ordered everything online and not have bothered with the bullshit insurance company, waiting forever to get my equipment and did it all for LESS than what I am going to end up paying with dealing with this company and my insurance.

For reference, the accessories they sold to me for almost $500 after insurance, I just bought spares online for $200. No insurance, no wait. Everything is a fucking scam. Never trust a "medical professional", I figure my doctor gets kickbacks from this place. I find it impossible to believe that a "doctor" who deals exclusively with sleep issues was oblivious to the fact I could have bought my equipment online. She is either dumb as fuck or a fucking scammer, either way, a human piece of shit.

I used to have this problem. I slowly came to the realization that my pillow, being too big and fluffy, was causing me to sleep with my head tilted forward (as if you're looking slightly down when standing). It was making me sleep with my mouth open, so I would snore and wake up with a sore throat. The pillow was also causing me constant neck pain. I got a much flatter pillow so my head is tilted slightly back and both issues went away pretty much immediately. Every time I use a thicker pillow the issue starts up within a day or two.

Big, thick pillows, multiple pillows... They're not good. Get a flat pillow or don't use a pillow at all. This obviously won't work for someone with a medical condition. Maybe.

For a minute there I thought you were going to start making a sales pitch for "my pillow"!
The brief thought passed through my mind, "huh, is Mike Lindell with us?" LOL

If you have trouble sleeping, just drink more bourbon!

[ - ] Swej_Ehtsag [op] 3 points 2.7 yearsAug 26, 2022 16:32:11 ago (+3/-0)

Drinking and weed helped me sleep better because it masked the problem, but I think in the long term if it goes untreated it will be your death. Not breathing for periods of time fucks up your heart apparently.

Oh. Yeah, good point.

I want to know more about this. That's a long video, do you have anything shorter and more digestible? I tried some of the things at the beginning but I didn't have those conditions. Tell us more about your personal experience and how/where did you find a doctor to treat you?

It seems to me that they are just brute forcing an enlargement of your nasal passages?

Interesting procedure with retarded doctor.

Wears gloves- touches everything, then proceeds to shove gloved finger into the guys mouth.

This is the same retardness that food servers have. "Oh, if I cover my hands with this magic glove, nothing ever gets contaminated!"

If I was that patient I would have bitch-slapped that doctor before he tried to shove that dirty glove within reach of my mouth.

I have a relative who is a truck driver and he has told me about this racket. Apparently you have to get a medical clearance every few years when you have a CDL and the fed gov made some law that if you ever had apnea than you have to get a machine that can printout usage stats and show that to the exam doc. If you don't use the machine every single night of your life, your license gets pulled. There is, according to him, collusion between the lawmaker, the sleep docs, and the cpap machine makers.
He said every person he knows who get a sleep study walked away with a cpap machine. But, I mean, they wouldn't be getting a study in the first place if they didn't have apnea, so idk. That's probably why the machines are so costly, there is a massive trucker userbase they are milking, who get mandated by law to buy that type of equipment so they can charge whatever they want and people are still forced to buy it.

You are less* than informed clearly.
CDL does require a 70+ score average before license renewal.
Most units the last decade are cloud based and link up nationwide via satilight link

It was a few years back he told me about it, but he was pretty adamant that you had to use the mask thing every single night, whether or not you were driving that day, on vacation, or anything. He said telling them about his apnea was the worst thing he ever did. Do you mean the mask had to be on 70% of the time, or that the treatment was 70% effective or something? Do the machines grade you on how well you breathe?

[ - ] texasblood 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 27, 2022 09:57:07 ago (+0/-0)

Yes its all averages run thru an app.
You can skip a week or two.
Your previous 30 days must be 70% or better.

Cpap Exchange is my supply source.
That shit on amazon is counterfeit ResMed.
Once you get the hang of it it's some of the best sleep you have ever had.
No one size fits all, you have to weed thru the options to get what works for you.
Those full-face masks suck ass.
Six years and counting on the same ,(bought used) ResMed unit.
Keeping shit clean is paramount

All doctors are scammers. Hey treat you and alway need you to come back. I wanted info on my urinalysis test. I have to make an appointment, go in to his office, for him to say the test didn't show anything. $50 copay to get literally nothing. I have never had a kidney stone bigger than 4 or 5mm. After I get help to treat them, I made one over an inch and I make a big one every few months now. They won't cure or help you get rid of anything.

She is either dumb as fuck or a fucking scammer, either way, a human piece of shit.

I find that my relationship with doctors gets better when I am six inches from their face and using a monotone voice with slow and deliberate words.

He asked me ONCE if I owned any firearms. He didn't ask again.

He questioned whether I needed any pain pills for my issue and then he wrote with script with 3 refills........that I never used.

When you're dealing with the scum of the earth it's best for them to know that you get lower than that.

Who the fuck doesn't "wake up tired"? Cmon man...

[ - ] Swej_Ehtsag [op] 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 28, 2022 12:22:47 ago (+0/-0)

I don't anymore after I started using the CPAP machine. You are not supposed to wake up tired.

I didn't read it, because I don't have the described symptoms.

Looking into myofascial therapy may be worth your time. Otherwise, check this link:

This list isn't the first time I've heard of mouth taping. This guy is quite informative, but he does advocate for fluoride ("apnea" is mentioned 5 times):

This might work for some people, but I don't think it will work for everybody. CPAP machines force your mouth closed while you sleep. I've been using one for months now and you would think my mouth would be adjusted to being closed at night, but I fell asleep without the machine the other day and woke up hours later with a sore throat from breathing through my mouth while I was asleep.

Maybe a combination of the guy in another post talking about nasal adjustments combined with mouth tape might make it work. I know sometimes I am simply not able to get enough air through my nose without the help of the machine.

Six Foot Tiger, Three Foot Cage might prove to be a worthwhile read. I saw this title at my parents' house last week and couldn't help but think to share it with you. I know nothing else of the book, but I know my dad is into holistic/alternative/naturopathic health.

I had an apnea, but it was because of a badly deviated septum. Got that and my sinuses fixed last fall and I'm sleeping and feeling a hell of a lot better.

[ - ] Swej_Ehtsag [op] 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 26, 2022 16:30:50 ago (+0/-0)

Where/who did you see to get your condition diagnosed and treated? What were your symptoms?

[ - ] texasblood 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 26, 2022 19:57:16 ago (+0/-0)

Home sleep studies are free.
Strap up one night and send it in.
Youll be surprised what you did last night.......

[ - ] Weredawg 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 27, 2022 05:15:38 ago (+0/-0)

I snored really fucking bad, got sinus infections that didn't go away, I was always tired even after sleeping for long periods of time. I eventually realized that I was waking up gasping for breath.
Had a doctor take a look and he was kind of a faggot about it, but referred me to an ear, nose, and throat doctor after I insisted that I wanted to see one. The ENT looked for a few seconds and basically said "yeah, it's fucked up in there."
Had surgery to straighten the septum, reduce turbinate size, and open my sinuses so things flow better. Never needed a sleep study to diagnose it.

[ - ] Swej_Ehtsag [op] 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 28, 2022 12:28:54 ago (+0/-0)

That's not a bad idea. I've never had anyone look at my sinuses. Maybe I should get that checked out. You are saying to see a Ear, Nose and Throat specialist?

[ - ] Weredawg 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 28, 2022 17:51:11 ago (+0/-0)

It could be worthwhile if you have those symptoms. I also had a lot of trouble breathing through my nose.

[ - ] albatrosv15 0 points 2.7 yearsAug 26, 2022 14:11:34 ago (+0/-0)

Wait, could you elaborate what kind of equipment? What it consists of?

[ - ] Swej_Ehtsag [op] 5 points 2.7 yearsAug 26, 2022 14:16:12 ago (+5/-0)*

Sorry, I forget to mention the equipment. They give you a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine, which also requires tubing, a mask and other accessories. https://www.respshop.com/

If you are having sleep issues, you still have to go to one of these kike doctors to get the prescription. Don't tell them you plan on buying the equipment yourself. Finish all their bullshit tests and AFTER they give you the diagnosis, tell them you want to know what machine they want you to use, exact model number, and then ask for the prescription and go buy everything yourself. The kike doc will probably go into a rage and say that your goyim insurance won't cover it if you buy it yourself and how stupid you are, ignore them and get the equipment yourself. Should probably mention that this equipment, which is little more than a shitty cell phone connected to a fan that blows air up your nose costs more than an xbox one and playstation 5 combined.
