The Augsburg Confession of 1530 is the declaration of what the Protestant faith is, and was presented to the Die, or parliament of Augsburg. It's opening lines are:

"Most Invincible Emperor, Cæsar Augustus, Most Clement Master: Inasmuch as Your Imperial Majesty has summoned a Convention of the Empire at Augsburg, to deliberate in regard to aid against the Turk, the most atrocious, the hereditary, and ancient enemy of the Christian name and religion, in what way, to wit, resistance might be made to his rage and assaults, by protracted and perpetual preparation for war:

That's a pretty important opening statement, the " be it agreed" part before they got to the differences, Christians, including the Catholics, not meaning the church officials knew they hated Islam because they were the ones being raided, raped and kidnapped in jihad White slavery.

Victorian propriety didn't arise in isolation. Those chastity belts existed because of islam's incursions as much as untrustworthy sluts passing off bastard children as legal heirs.
