Now it's a hybrid.

Honestly someone can steal my idea but I thought for cross country travel a small trailer with a good quiet Honda generator and storage would be the way to go. When you stop it has a little air-conditioned sitting/sleeping area you chill out at a rest stop for 2 hours charge up take a nap and keep driving. I don't know how long it takes to charge but worse case over night charge it.

I have an electric car, that's not getting him more than 10 Miles. These things need two phase or better to charge effectively. He's gonna get 15 watts at best from that harbor freight Predator.

At 8k watts 30 amps it’s gonna be about the same time as charging from a 110v from a house hook up.
It’s possible but not feasible. But it is an option if you get stranded.

My generator has a 220v and is quiet from harbor freight. Guy just needs to think bigger

This guy doesn't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere...again.

Get yourself a Predator gas generator, only $450 at Harbor Freight (hitch attachment, fuel cans, and gasoline are sold separately).

Better yet lower your drinking so you can think straight and get out.

This is good though. I imagine he can fully charge his batteries many times on a small tank of gas in that generator.

If i understand correctly, don't modern freight trains operate like this? Deiseal generators that power electric motors.

Yes...can't wait to get a drop in diesel generator for my electric truck.

(Fuck electric vehicles)

There is construction equipment like that too. I would love to see this done for cars.

If you get anywhere on that amount of gas, you're doing pretty good.

12 gallons? I can go at least 300 miles on my cars. Truck cannot make that distance on 17 gallons.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 2.8 yearsSep 7, 2022 03:18:16 ago (+0/-0)

That's 12 gallons? Maybe the scale is off in my head. I thought those were maybe 1 gallon tanks. A jerry can is like 3 gallons, I thought. (5 actually)

Looks like he's got 2 gallons maybe one in the generator.
