Think they're majestic? Go live in Juneau, AK for awhile (probably any coastal AK town)... they're in any open dumpster, at the dump, and anywhere else they can pick through the trash.

That's just how it is with birds, it's nice to have some of them around, but they are R-selected and so will expand in population given a food source and habitat. sea gulls are nice if there are one or two that visit on occasion, parrots, eagles, etc. once you get larger groups they all suck.

we get bald eagles in the neighborhood all the time. we are right near the river and they roam all over the area. really cool to see them in the morning drop down and grab some breakfast out of the river.
