I’m not that well read on Swedish politics but one of the founding board members of the Sweden Democrats when they re-branded in the 80s was a veteran of the Waffen-SS. Could yet prove to be the real deal but only time will tell.

Europe is not the US. Here the winning political party almost never gets an absolute majority and has to make a coalition with one or two other parties in order to rule. The Sweden Democrats will have to severely water down their program and make a lot of concessions to gain the coalition partners.
