Today we get films like The Patriot that portray the world's greatest military as 'giving it their best' and being outsmarted by local militias, and conservatives today still take this unconsciously as a foundation for their entire value set, like, "Yeah, if I need to, I'll do what my third-great grandfather did."
Meanwhile, nobody really did shit. Jews on both sides financed some conflicts that took place in isolated, yet important, strategic parts of the colonies, just at the right nodes for some local effects to be felt, and for the news to spread. On the whole, the entire thing was exaggerated. What was really just a few battles became this 'social contagion' that got called a war.
Eventually the Brits pull their forces out and declare defeat, and the entire American Project is wide open to be crafted (in two centuries time) into the ultimate Jewish shylock.
If even remotely true, it becomes worse than 'the world you were raised in no longer exists'...it becomes 'the world you thought you were raised in never existed.'
What is really exaggerated is your portrayal of all this as if it was all a big Jewish scam! The Rothschilds were even a non-entity during the time of the American Revolution. Sure, there was Haym Salomon. But he was very much a secondary figure.

And of course the creation of the US divided the Anglo-Saxon nation.
