YouTube's defense in completely ignoring user preferences, is that the feature was never intended to actually consider user preferences?

I still don't get the appeal of brave. There is nothing it can do that I can't do with your Browser or Firefox with orbot. Plus it takes relevancy away from chromium, a jewgle product.
