At least one of the goals in this appears to be to weaken the EU, even more than so far. Germany is a major powerhouse of the EU. As their industries shut down due to ludicrous and unaffordable energy costs, some of those will flee to the US, along with the brightest who lose their careers. Have seen estimates of a $6 trillion windfall for the US over time. Gotta discard your ruths when you owe $30 trillion.

Also, the US military is vastly larger and more equipped than Russia. Their choice of defense would be laughably inept in conventional terms, or to fire up their nukes and let them fly.

Scary to think that a full war with Russia will last about 1 or 2 hours. I’m lucky, I live near a large base. I won’t even hear the air burst that gets me.
