But the massive spike in crime in the time since has highlighted the need for constant vigilance in order to promote public safety. The police play a vital role, yet Democratic officeholders think they are doing someone a favor by taking the criminals' side. This attitude is already costing them the Hispanic vote, and it is only a matter of time before other racial and ethnic minorities catch on to their scam as well.
