Officials described their findings, which also included electronic devices and books containing explicit photos and videos of children, as “one of the largest collections of child pornography they have ever come across in an investigation.” No evidence suggested that Martin engaged in physical contact with children.

Statistically speaking, more likely the evidence was planted and he was framed. I'm by no means defending legitimate pedophiles, but planting child porn on people has been the #1 way to politely disappear people for a VERY long time - both physically, and now digitally.

Not unprecedented. Does anyone remember Isaac Asimov? Look up the story of his son David Asimov. He had a large media reproduction shop in his house with a collection of CP investigators called possibly the largest in the US. He was arrested but never went to trial.
