There needs to be some new safety system so that the student pilot system is disconnected when the operator takes control because it's very likely he overpowered her as he completely lost his mind and chimped out when the plane started doing something he didn't predict

While she probably taught him willingly it's also very likely she could not have refused to teach him and that she worked for some school and was not her own boss. And while under the technical definition she was a commercial pilot she was not a commercial pilot in a sense that most people think about it. She was the lowest rung on the ladder teaching occasional students how to fly for a small bit of money. She wasn't handling big planes.
