One week ago, exactly, I was beginning to come back from a psychedelic experience. I had taken one hit of blue pyramid shaped gel tab lsd of unknown strength. The setting was a bluegrass festival I was at with my wife. To be specific, we were in a hammock in a natural amphitheater, listening to music we both love.
Just as a side note, I experience music different than most people I think. I have an emotional response to it, I don't listen to it so much as I can feel it. As a result, I'm extremely careful about what kind of music I will consume.
Back to my story. The acid was way stronger than I had imagined or anticipated. About an hour in I found myself uncontrollably sobbing my eyes out. I wasn't sad, but it was as if a floodgate had opened and my heart poured out. For the last week, I couldn't listen to music without my eyes welling up with tears. It still feels different, not bad but just a lot more intense, but at least my eyes aren't leaking.
Don't worry, fellas. I'm still as racist as ever and I still hate kikes. I just needed to get that off my chest.
Maybe you have that synesthesia thing..some people "see" sounds. Others "hear " colors.aybe yours is you physically feel music. It apparently has something to do with brain wiring redirecting paths circuits across the wrong sensory receptors.
"Some substances can cause you to temporarily experience synesthesia. The use of psychedelic drugs can heighten and connect your sensory experiences. Mescaline, psilocybin, and LSD have been studied for their ability to induce this phenomenon. But other stimulants, like cannabis, alcohol, and even caffeine, have also been shownTrusted Source to cause temporary synesthesia."
They're pretty awesome. Waves of euphoria. Music sounds amazing. Eating them will tear up your guts though. We can't digest chitin. Make a tea with lemon juice. The psilocybin will dissolve into the juice and you can toss the mushrooms that irritate your intestines.
If you can't find someone selling shrooms, just buy a kit off the internet. It's too easy to grow them in a closet. In a few weeks you'll have a bunch of trips worth of shrooms.
If that's the festival that is I think it is, we were supposed to go but our babysitter fell through. That's a really great venue. I saw Mike Gordon play there and blue sky green grass in the field next door.
Glad y'all had a good time and welcome back. Maybe you needed some kind of release and the acid + music helped you.
Bout 9 hours. If I was a betting man I'd say it was in the area of 300mcg. My buddy had a gram and a half of penis envy mushrooms and bout lost his damn mind.
I've taken doses exceeding 1000mcg. I've also done heroic amounts of both mescaline and mushrooms. I've broken through on DMT a couple times, but turned down an opportunity to do ayuasca. These days I keep it to a maximum of two strong trips per year. Feels like I'm defragging the hard drive in my gray matter pc. I've had a few rough times, but nothing I regret.
No freezing, although it's been in the 30s a few times. Don't have much room for them, so they're kind of neglected. Also, leaning them against the fence is pretty much the only way to keep them standing up.
Its reasons like this why I don't like acid. You have no idea what is actually in the tab you're taking. Shrooms are much safer. I always feel like acid is just gonna be some random research chemical, and unless you pay to get it tested, you have no way of knowing whether it is or not.
The only reasons drugs are acceptable are therapy, pain management, for the single life experience, for the experience that causes the mind to broaden abstract and existential thinking (for example, spiritual journeys), or for creativity.
Every other use is degeneracy.
I have an emotional response to it, I don't listen to it so much as I can feel it
This is called "frisson." You might also consider that you are synesthetic, mixing music and emotion so that you have these responses much more readily, frequently, and regularly than others.
If you're using coffee/caffeine to cope, it's abuse and degenerate. If you're using it for any of its positive qualities (nootropic, laxative/diuretic, etc.), that's not abuse.
But you fucking know that and all you're trying to do is find some inconsistency through a whataboutism to shut down conversation so fuck off back to jew-land.
You didn't even the goddamned decency to just say that outright. You had to play little fucking jewish games and lie by pretending to want to converse.
Well the Beatles are a product of the tavistock institute, which means they were created to steer the counter culture in a favorable direction for the elites. But let me explain what I mean. That feeling you might get when you eat a bunch of shitty goyslop, is the feeling I get when I listen to most commercial grade music. It wears me out, makes me tired and irritated. Conversely, when I listen to say classical or bluegrass I feel it resonate from my chest out to the top of my head, and out to my fingers and toes. I'm almost sure everyone experiences this to lesser and greater degrees, but I'm more sensitive to it after recognizing it.
A lot of modern music is trance inducing, and drums and bass play a major role in that. Trance inducing music isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just depends on who is inducing that trance and to what end. I'll give you a good example, compare the song WAP to Papa Was a Rolling Stone by the Temptations. Both pieces were hits in the ghettos, both feature nigger artists, but one feels pure and the other feels like McDonald's made music. Both are trance inducing, but there's a huge difference in what they're trying to accomplish.
Drums kind of enhance and emphasize the rhythm of a song. It's kind of like a subtle and more effective and interesting version of someone counting and adding emphasis on certain numbers.
To use simple examples if there's an emphasis on the 2nd and 4th beats, one might count 1 2! 3 4! (putting more volume and intensity where ! indicates). If it's on the 1st and 3rd, you might count 1! 2 3! 4. It creates this sort of high peak then lower peak effect and helps enhance the feel of movement.
Such use of drums/percussion is mostly absent from classical music and essentially makes it boring to most people. There's even some classical albums that add a simple boom click drum beat to get modern listeners interested. Classical was more of the bougie and church music. Outside of that people played simple folk tunes. I honestly don't know the history of percussion before the 20th century, but around 1900 they did have street bands using a bass and snare and sometimes a crash cymbal. Actually, this is the reason for holding the snare drum stick upside-down, and it has no purpose on an actual drum set. If you hold sticks like a beer mug, the right hand would go out the top and the left out the bottom if you were carrying a bass drum with a snare drum on the left side of it. With the snare out that way, it's the most ergonomic to hit the snare with the stick out the bottom and not top.
Anyway, as the 20th century progressed we began to see staples of the drum set added such as the hi-hat to keep a steady count often times (1, 2, 3, 4) as you dance between bass and snare. There were crash cymbals that often emphasize the 4 or 1 beat. There's the ride cymbal that gives you a different way to emphasize (1, 2, 3, 4), and a minimum of two toms to do drum fills that are often used to push transitions to another section.
Outside of this there seem to be other percussion instruments that can be used to sort of enhance the flow and feeling of movement in ways other drums can't. Examples are congas and bongos but there are many more.
Generally, drumming will make music more intense and doing that is the devil. Just ask Bobby Bouche's mom.

I'm not sure. They're pop garbage, but objectively not much worse than any other manufactured boy band. I have used a couple of their tracks during workouts because it makes me think about murdering the whole band. Ruins my mood though.
A lot of the Mamas and the Papas discography too. Later on it was Mambo Number 5 and Walking On The Sun. More recently it was some Maroon 5 track. I had to stop. My blood pressure is too high.
I've heard from a friend who studies these things that their later albums are actually pretty good. He says, like you mentioned, that the label made them play that gay shit and in their later albums they had creative control. I still haven't listened, but I'm interested to see if they actually are any better in their later offerings.
Yeah, it's pretty fucking gay. Chicks hate guys that play guitar, bass, mandolin, drums, and trombone. It's a miracle I found one to marry me. How's your hunt going?
