Why are you so fascinated with fluid mechanics?

I don't know man, I guess it's my calling.

I thought about it. I suppose since I consider myself a Zen master, and fluid dynamics are merely a result of pressure differentials, and thus can be encapsulated by the concepts of yin and yang, that it's only natural I become interested in it. Aerodynamics highlights the concept of duality born from unity. There is a macro pressure field(the atmosphere) and within it there are pockets where there pressure is higher and parts where the pressure is lower, and it is the flow from high to low that generates wind velocity.

This is entirely consistent with taoist philosophy, that states that power is a result of relative separation of states. High pressure, low pressure, negative charge, positive charge, etc. Science calls this potential and kinetic energy, but the terms are just that, and the concept itself is what is important, because it seems to be universally generalizable. Ancient taoist philosophy seems to be the "theory of everything".

PS I didn't downvote you.

Thank you for the detailed response. I like your content. Everybody is always pissed off here and you come out of leftfield with something like, "these eddy currents are why your carburetor is inefficient".
