So a "hoe" that looks incredibly like a longspear, your nailed baseball enthusiasts equipment, your collection of brush-clearing machetes that look exactly like falchions(seriously spellcheck?), and a "bug spray" launcher that just so happens to have a lighter taped to it and still somehow has a 20 meter range?
The trick here is that the law cant know you were preparing to hurt anyone, even in defense. But if you just so happened to be brush clearing the day before the attack and set that big fuck-off machete on your nightstand because you "forgot" to put it away, thats just fine.
