I haven't done one of these in a while. Cops have very deep insecurities. If they don't have them when they join the force, they develop them with the us vs them mentality they have to ascribe to. They have a deep seated need be recognised for their dedication, they are constantly awarding themselves and it reinforces the idea that they are good and the people they abuse are bad. When a cop dies FOR ANY REASON, they memorialize them. It reminds me of political regimes venerating previous leaders that may well have been demised by the current leader. Let a stupid sheeboon cop get flattened by an 18 wheeler while conducting a traffic stop and suddenly she's a hero. They will hang a portrait of her in the precinct, name a bridge for her, carve her name on a wall in the headquarters alongside other dead cops, some who may have actually died doing something brave, but still probably stupid. Because cops are not very bright. Sorry to be so verbose but I wanted to preface this one. Open an anonymous email account and send the cops an email informing them that they are ridiculous idolizing some idiot that was playing frogger and lost. This is a generic example. Its not difficult to find whatever instance some local cop has been memorialized for some ridiculous reason. It will really incense the cops that someone out there does not buy the shit they are peddling and their inability to retaliate. Cops are childish, just driving by them and shining a flashlight at them will trigger them.
when Kate Steinle was murdered by the twice deported illegal in SF I called the SFCS half a dozen times to berate them for releasing the invader back into society despite it having been convicted of felonies in the past.
One brilliant deputy got on the phone and started making squeaking noises regarding arresting me. I shouted at him " YOU GONNA EXTRADITE ME FOR A PHONE CALL? YOU DONT ENFORCE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS NOW!".
Early this century I was sitting in a park, in daylight, on a picnic bench with two guys. We were just talking. No smoking, drinking, playing music. A police car decided to drive up to us over the neatly mowed grass, I don't really remember how far, but maybe less than a 25-meter pool length instead of getting out of his vehicle and walking up. He just wanted to know what we were doing. I don't even recall him getting out of his car. I'm pretty sure I stared at him in disbelief. When he left he backed out and hit a park bench and I burst out in a laugh but was instantly shushed by the guys.
When I was a kid we lived with a Championship golf course behind our house. Apparently there was a "crack party on the green" one night and the police rolled down the golf course in several cop cars. (From our driveway or one across the course they could have run to the green in seconds.) The Club got mad.
