Clearly this is OPs preference considering age for women.

Below 17 is green and too early to consume.

17-26 is the prime banana age of "consumption"

27-39 are the bananas you only consume in desperation. A "any port in a storm" situation. Usually you don't admit to eating these bananas.

40+ bananas offer the worst of every aspect of a banana. No future, half digested, probably has bugs on it. If you eat this, don't ever admit to it. People who eat these bananas aren't allowed in my house on principle.

As 16 is perfectly legal here and most of the western world and I've dated women that age, my chart would be:

16-21 perfectly ripe, will never be better. delicious.

22-27 edible, texture and sweetness a bit off, but you wouldn't say no.

28-34 you try it at a push, but it doesn't smell or taste right.

35-44 must be starving.

45+ you don't acknowledge it as food.

Perfectly yellow= 24-34

That's pushing it. Some women can still have kids at 40 (which would be the third child in your example) but some struggle with waning fertility even in their early 30s.
