Eowyn was written as a shield maiden who slew the nazgul. If this perception is a problem, part of the blame lies with Tolkien propagating silly romantic notions. Women cant fight men in battle. Maybe Gina Carrano could take on some really weak dude with a gimpy leg. It is a lie that women are good in the armed forces or as cops or in a street fight. What is the purpose of a lady cop? Must be very strange to be growing up as a young boy in school watching all these movies where the women are all the heroes. These boys are going to wake up and get in relationships and expect those girls to go beat the asses of any trouble that comes along in the streets. What a shock they're going to have.
